Dietary Management During Quarantine Period

                 Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen and my dear friends. So this is my First Blog and today's Blog,would gonna  focus on the Healthy consumption of food , as we all feel unhealthy and homesick during the quarantine period in-spite of having Good and tasty foods at home. Ordering food online from zomato wont sort out your problem, until and unless you know about the Health Facts or Nutritional quality of the Food you are consuming. So in this Blog we are going to have three classifications of food based on Nutritional information and their respective impacts on Human health.

1.FOODS TO BE INCLUDED: ✅

Well, in this category Fruits and Vegetables grabs the position. 

Fruits rich in Citric acid such as Lemons , Oranges , Tomatoes , Grapes, berries and Watermelons could be included , as Citric acid present in them tends to improve bone health , has some Antibiotic properties and also counteracts the Deleterious free radicals.

Vegetables, specially the greens such as peas , cauliflower leaves , lettuce leaves, cabbage are enriched with vital vitamins along with Iron , Folic Acid and Antioxidants that is neccessary for the formation of Red blood cells in our body and improves blood pressure along with digestion issues. Green vegetables are much preferred than starchy vegetables during this period, as these are absorbed at a faster rate as compared to the Latter. Starchy vegetables that can be consumed are potato, colocassia, lady finger along with Soyabean chunks. 

Vital point of both fruits and vegetables is DIETARY FIBRE , it has plenty of merits in maintaining our overall health ,that we are going to discuss in another blog.

2.FOODS TO BE TAKEN IN MODERATION:

Well, in this category Foods that occupies their position are :

  • White meat such as chicken and Fish.
  • Curd
  • Salads
  • Olive oil or Rice Bran oil
  • Milk and milk products
  • Sweets
  • Rice 
  • Whole wheat flour Chapati
All of the above food items serves as a good source of  varied nutrients. Nutrients in return play a vital role in  healthy functioning  of our body.
White meat serves as a good source of Protein  which helps in muscle repairing and body's growth.
Curd and milk provides calcium which enhances our bone mass thus preventing Osteomalacia.
Rice and Chapati acts as a good source of simple and complex carbohydrates , which is the basic fuel to our body.
Salads provide all the necessary vitamins and minerals for the day.

Healthy oils such as OLIVE OIL AND RICE BRAN OIL are good sources of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids which has many merits which we would gonna discuss in upcoming blogs.


OILS RICH IN MUFA AND MODERATE IN PUFA SHOULD BE ON THE PRIORITY LIST OF PURCHASABILITY

3. FOODS TO BE AVOIDED: ❌

Well this category is known to many peoples and its simple and easy to follow but we couldn't follow due to our taste buds , as they are subjected to those food elements'
Foods elements included in this category are :

  • Vanaspati or Dalda ghee
  • Deep fried food items 
  • Pastries , patties and pizza 
  • Fatty foods 
  • Spicy foods
Deep fried foods makes you slow and dull , pastries and other fatty foods slows down you and activity levels are retarded .
Excess of spicy foods can cause increased production of Gastric HCL in stomach , which might in future could cause Peptic Ulcers or Duodenal Ulcers.
Red Mircchii Powder should be completely avoided and salt intake should be around 2-3 grams/day.


PRO TIP

Exercise at least for 30 minutes per day , primarily focussing on the those exercises such as CARDIO which accelerates your heart beat . Cardio and other exercises detailed info will be covered on another blog.

             Well coming to conclusion , if you follow my recommendations regarding the consumption of food , then definately you would gonna feel good from inside as well as from outside.
Always remember "YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT"
